Man denies assault

An Aberporth teenager has appeared before magistrates in Cardigan and denied an offence of common assault on a shopkeeper in the town.

George Ferrol Sommerville aged 19, of 2 Erwlas, Aberporth, who was represented by Ann Griffiths, pleaded not guilty to a charge of jointly with two others who are unknown, assaulting Phillip Treharne Porter of Castle Street, Cardigan by beating on February 1 this year.

The case was adjourned for a full day trial on Friday, June 6 and the defendant given unconditional bail.
