Pool makes a splash
Pool is thriving in the Cardigan area - that was the message that came across loud and clear at the 23rd annual presentation evening of the Cardigan & District League at the Angel Hotel.
The standard has improved steadily over the years with more and more players competing and 8-ball clearances achieved virtually every week.
An indication of how the game is progressing was illustrated when the representative side won promotion in Division 5 of the Welsh League with Teifi Boating Club cueist Alan Lewis the division's player of the year. Alex Rees, who plays for Division One champions Hope & Anchor, is currently top of the individual averages in Division 4.
